Original orange cloth faded, especially at spine, edges slightly soiled. Top corners bumped and bottom corners worn to boards. 'Books by AT' listing has blue ink checkmarks next to most of the titles. Pages pale yellow, edges faintly soiled, a few creased top corners; interior pages clean, no binding problems. An old newspaper (now removed) once left in the front of book leaving a mark on the front flap and the decorated endpaper. Unclipped, lighlty edgeworn dust wrapper has a slightly soiled and yellowed white rear panel, a few tiny closed tears, and bottom front flap corner torn away as well as the aforementioned mark on the flap. Front illustration is another delightful Cosgrave II painting.; 'Older and wiser than the usual betrothed, Herbert Choyce and Miss Merriman are in no hurry to get married. But, in the 27th of Thirkell's Barsetshire novels, the enthusiasm of friends and neighbors sweeps them up in a rush to the altar, with unexpected results.'
