Miss Sophy Stanton-Lacy is a young woman who knows what she wants, what is best for her family and loved ones, and how to accomplish it all with charm and humour. One of our favourites by this author.; 'This story features the fearless Sophia, left in the care of her aunt. She finds the family being ruled by the eldest son, the stuffy, tyrannical Charles, who's engaged to an equally stuffy, prim and pious young woman whom nobody likes. Sophy can't possibly let matters stand like that, can she?' Image is actual copy on offer.
