The author of 'Near Neighbors' and 'Mrs. Lorimer's Family' amongst other novels, lived in Moffat, Scotland, as did her good friend D.E. Stevenson. She describes her walks in the beautiful area surrounding Moffat. From the descriptions in some of DES's books we can easily believe that DES also enjoyed these walks (although there is no mention of DES in the book). Included are black and white photographs of the lovely border hills of Scotland. A wonderful book for armchair travellers or for DE Stevenson readers who want to get a feel for the area where DES lived and worked for so many years.; Good- condition. Green cloth binding very worn (but not to boards) and lightly soiled. Pages age yellowed, edges are foxed; interior pages clean, none loose. Endpapers decorated with a nicely detailed map showing the area between Moffat and Selkirk. No dust wrapper. ; Recommended by several members of the DE Stevenson email discussion group. Image is actual copy on offer.
