307 pages; Decorated boards are worn to white on bottom edges and bumped spine ends and corners. Pages edges lightly yellowed, top painted edge has a few spots. Previous owners' names and stamps on front free endpaper. Unclipped dust wrapper is edgeworn and lightly soiled with a sunned spine and a few tiny chips and tears. One inch closed tear at spine head repaired with archival tape. ; 'The unforgettable adventures of a small boy changed into a stray cat and befriended by the indomitable Jennie, the cat who initiates him into the lore of London's streets.' Another humorous and compassionate story from this author, published as 'Jennie' in the UK.

Unclipped dust wrapper is edgeworn and soiled with some chips and tears.; A charming story about Mrs. Ada Harris, a widowed London charlady, and the people she encounters while on a trip to Paris to obtain her heart's desire, a dress designed by Christian Dior. Basis for the 1992 television movie of the same name starring Angela Lansbury and Diana Rigg. Published as "Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris" in the US. Unclipped dust wrapper is very edgeworn and has several small chips and long tears repaired by previous owner with tape. ; A delightful novel of a cat's life in Scotland; oh, and some humans by the name of Mr. MacDhui, veterinary surgeon, his daughter Mary and a country woman named Lori. The basis for the Disney movie 'The Three Lives of Thomasina'. Gallico admirers might know Thomasina's great-aunt, "Jennie" (published in the US as "The Abandoned".) Recommended.

Dust wrapper is edgeworn with two closed tears, a tiny skinned area on spine and a faintly soiled and yellowed white rear panel. ; "Lord Paradine's lovely ancestral home had become a tax-blighted burden, and a haunted one as well. Ghost breaker Hero Alexander (his name as well as his role) is summoned from London to exocise the premises."
