And then there's the blackmail plot that may or may not be at the heart of the case...." Image is actual copy on offer.

17 7091 HEYER, Georgette Sylvester [or The Wicked Uncle]
Softcover; Mass Market PB Berkley Medallion Books: NY; c1957,1975; Reprint Very Good-
Spine and cover creases, light edgewear, book slightly curved. Pages pale tan but clean and not brittle; none loose. Book says "Large-Type edition" but the text is only slightly larger than most mass market paperbacks. The text is not as large as it is in most large print hardbacks. Also published as 'Sylvester or The Wicked Uncle'. ; We agree with the "Time and Tide" reviewer that said they would place this book as high as "The Grand Sophy". A very enjoyable Regency romp. "When Sylvester, Duke of Saleford, posted into Wiltshire to discover whether the Hon. Phoebe Marlow matched his exacting requirements for a bride, he did not expect that the prospect of an offer from him would cause Miss Marlow to flee from her home." Nor did he know that Phoebe, with her very discerning eye, and gift for mimicry, had written a novel... Highly recommended.; This title reviewed and recommended by Lyn B., author of the 'I Prefer Reading' blog and member of the DES email discussion group. Image is actual copy on offer.
