This omnibus edition has an introduction by James Sandoe.Spine ends bumped and a bit worn, pastedowns creased (publishing flaw), page edges pale yellow with a few tiny smudges on top edge; interior pages clean and bright, no binding problems. Lightly rubbed dust wrapper sunned and edgeworn with a few short closed tears. ; Three complete and unabridged mysteries, the first by this author to be published in the US. Miss Pym is a guest lecturer on pychology at a peaceful campus in June. After an 'accidental' death she puts all her psychological theories into practice to prove that it was murder in 'Miss Pym Disposes'. In 'The Franchise Affair' a mother and daughter are accused of kidnapping a local young woman. Basis for 1951 movie of the same name starring John Bailey and Michael Denison (and including Patrick Troughton of Dr. Who fame.)

"Brat Farrar' is the basis for multiple television movies. Simon Ashby is to inherit his family's small country estate, Latchetts near the south coast of England and a large trust fund left by his mother when he turns 21. Enter Brat Farrar a young man skilled with horses that looks very like Simon's twin brother Patrick assumed to have drowned many years previously. Brat knows details of Patrick's early life and has his mannerisms. Is Brat the long lost Ashby heir?; 'I love Josephine Tey as well. My favourites are 'Brat Farrar' and 'The Franchise Affair'. -Tricia K. , 'I do have them all but think The Franchise Affair is my favorite.'-Louise D. 'Brat Farrar, Miss Pym, The Franchise Affair, and the Daughter of Time at the very top of my favorites list.' Sulie P. This author's books recommended by *many* other members of the DE Stevenson email discussion group including Elizabeth B., Jane S., Sheila, Susan D, Beatrice H., Julie B., Kristi J. and Lyn B., author of the 'I Prefer Reading' blog.
