Pages light brown, page edges and one interior page soiled. Unclipped dust wrapper age browned, lightly soiled, and edgeworn with some small chips and closed tears. ; The first volume of the Minack Chronicles. Derek and his wife Jeannie, leave London for Minack, a Cornish cottage where they plan to raise flowers and vegetables for market. Dust wrapper image is a tinted photograph of Thirkell as a young child with her grandfather, Edward Burne-Jones. A very nice copy indeed. ; Thirkell's very first book. Considered by the author to be her best book, these are her early childhood memories of growing up in London and Rottingdean at the Grange in Fulham, 27 Young Street in Kensington Square, and North End House in Rottingdean.
